Goals
- Provide decision support for earthquake disaster management and response utilizing NASA remote sensing and other available remote sensing data in conjunction with NASA modeling software
- Deliver web-based infrastructure designed for ease-of-use by decision makers, including:
- Rapid and readily accessible UAVSAR and InSAR interferograms, optical imagery, and derived data products both pre- and post- earthquake
- Standards-compliant map data products
- Deformation modeling and earthquake forecasting results
Our products and results will be both automatically generated in the event of an earthquake as well as available in pre-event “scenario” catalogs.
Approach
- Develop decision support tools working in partnership with end users in the US Geological Survey and other decision making and first response agencies
- Work with partner agencies during project to incorporate feedback for design needs
- Deliver web-based tools designed to aid in earthquake response and decision making
